A full programme of international speakers has been arranged from Friday evening through to Sunday morning, together with poster presentations. Speakers include David Lindberg, Richard Hartnoll, Steve Hawkins, George Branch, Gerhard Haszprunar, and Alex Nederbragt. A buffet dinner including wine has been arranged for Saturday. Shore visits are possible on the afternoon low tides on Friday and Sunday.
The cost of the meeting, £81 for single occupancy, includes accommodation in student hostel next to the marine station, all meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch, together with refreshments. Cumbrae island, in the Clyde estuary, is reached by a 10 minute car ferry (every 30 or 60 minutes until 20.45) from Largs. A bus to Millport, passing the marine station, meets every ferry. Largs can be reached by train from Glasgow and Prestwick airports.

More general aspects of conservation and biodiversity will be relevant to the discussion, as will newer approaches of molecular biology.
