Despite their commercial importance and the fact that they are easy and safe to keep, molluscs seem to be relatively little studied. On Saturday 8 April 2000, the Malacological Society will host a meeting which will consider, amongst other items, the use of molluscs in education. To get an overview of the situation, I would appreciate making contact with anyone who uses molluscs in teaching, for example as a focus of study at undergraduate level, or as a means of teaching other aspects of biology, for example natural history studies in Primary or Secondary School. The easiest way to make contact with me is by Email on: gbd...@canterbury.ac.uk
