Gibsone's Conches Limited Edition Prints

A set of 8 prints in a limited edition of 500 has been made by Francobollo Ltd, a small Fine Art publishing company, from a collection of over 4000 watercolours, painted by George Gibsone, who was active in Northumbria in the early 19th Century. The collection belongs to the Natural History Society of Northumbria at The Hancock Museum in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, who recieve a royalty for each print sold. The prints are of very high quality and measure 5 x 7 inches image area of unframed prints. The prints depict the folowing specimens:

  • 1. Nautilus pompilius,
  • 2. Turbo marmoratus,
  • 3. Conus aulicus, C. capitaneus & C. omaria,
  • 4. Conus marmoreus & C. captaneus,
  • 5. Cymatium lotorium,
  • 6. Pecten jacobeus,
  • 7. Hippopus hippopus,
  • 8. Xancus angulatus.

Normal price £22 each.
